Orange
County Quilters Guild is one of Southern
California's largest guilds with a
membership of approximately 350 active
members. The Guild is a non-profit
organization formed to promote cooperation
and the exchange of ideas among those
interested in or engaged in quilting;
to encourage and maintain high standards
of design and technique in quilting;
to instruct members in methods and
techniques of creative quilting; and
to inspire personal achievement. Guild
meetings are held the second Tuesday
of each month at Anaheim First Christian
Church, 520 W. South Street in Anaheim. Click here for a map of the location. The
evening starts at 6:00 p.m. with the
auditorium open for Block Party, a
chance to make and win enough blocks
for a small quilt, viewing Show and
Tell quilts brought in by our members,
signing up for Guild-sponsored workshops,
and participating in one of our fabric
exchanges. Guild members also have
access to our extensive library of
books, magazines, videos and slides
all related to quilting. At 7:00 p.m.
the Business Meeting is called to
order by the President who announces
news of upcoming OCQG events and events
from around the Southern California
world of quiltmaking. Our Chairpersons
announce special events and projects
available to members. During the evening
all attendees are eligible to win
door prizes donated by local quilt
shops and guild members. The evening
is capped off by a guest speaker or
special event. Guests are invited
